Sie stehen wieder auf der Bühne! Und dann gleich in New York!

Heute spielen Bill (18), Tom (18), Gustav (19) und Georg (21) von „Tokio Hotel“ in der US-Metropole drei Songs auf einem Festival – und alle ihre Fans sind unglaublich erleichtert.

Denn es ist das erste Konzert der Band seit der Kehlkopf-OP von Sänger Bill vor rund einem Monat.

„Die Diagnose war ein Schock“, erzählt der Sänger. „Ich hatte Angst, dass ich nie wieder sprechen könnte.“

Nach der OP durfte er zehn Tage nicht reden, lachen oder sich räuspern: „Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich das schaffe. Aber die Angst um meine Stimme war zu groß.“


Als Bill wieder sprechen durfte, kam ihm seine Stimme erst mal unvertraut vor. „Es klang komisch, irgendwie fremd. Aber nach ein paar Tagen war das vorbei.“

Wird er je wieder ganz ohne Angst singen können?

Bill: „Ich werde diese Erfahrung nie vergessen und wohl nie ganz ohne Sorgen sein. Aber ich hab’s überstanden und hoffe, dass es nie wieder passiert

In a interview, that can exclusivly be seen at BILD.de, Bill talks about his fears from before and after the surgery.

“The diagnosis was a real shock,” the singer tells. “I was afraid that I could never talk again.”

“After the surgery I wasn’t allowed to talk for ten days, or laugh or whisper: I didn’t think I would make it, but the fear for my voice was too great.”

When Bill was allowed to speak again his voice sounded unfamiliar.
“It sounded strange, somehow unknown. After a few days that was over.”

Can he ever sing again without fear?

Bill: “I won’t ever forget this experience and will never be totally without worry. But I survived and hope that it will never happen again.”
