Tag 10 nach der Operation an den Stimmbändern von Bill (18). Der Tag, auf den der Tokio-Hotel-Sänger gewartet hat, an dem er wieder sprechen darf. Doch wie einfach ist das, wenn man so lange nichts sagen durfte? B.Z. fragte nach.

“Die ersten Wörter, die Bill nach der OP gesprochen hat, waren zunächst ein vorsichtiges und zaghaftes „Ahhh“ und dann folgten Soundcheck-artig „eins, zwei, drei“, erklärt sein Manager und Produzent David Jost (35). Vorsichtig presste er sie hervor, hat laut Jost Gott sei Dank keine Schmerzen mehr.

Trotzdem muss sich der Teenie-Liebling an strenge ärztliche Vorschriften halten. „Bill muss weiterhin viel inhalieren und soll nur ganz vorsichtig und so wenig wie irgend möglich sprechen. Telefonieren darf Bill gar nicht“, so Jost. Doch Klein-Bill ist ein ehrgeiziges Kerlchen: „Bill will unbedingt so schnell wie möglich zurück auf die Bühne und macht sich meiner Meinung nach selbst zu viel psychischen Druck.“

Der Terminkalender war für die nächsten Wochen schon voll durchgeplant. Doch Jost ist ein rücksichtsvoller Manager: „Um den Druck von ihm zu nehmen, und ihm noch mehr Zeit für Genesung und Stimm-Reha zu geben, haben wir die Conan O'Brien TV-Show in New York nun vom 28. April auf den 9. Mai verschoben. Das Konzert am ersten Mai in Washington D.C. haben wir abgesagt und die Autogrammstunde im Virgin-Mega-Store am Times Square werden wir vom 29. April auf den 6. Mai verlegen.“

Der erste Kurz-Auftritt der Band wird voraussichtlich am 3. Mai vor ca. 30000 Menschen auf dem Bamboozle Festival in New York sein.

The first word that Bill said to begin with was a very careful and tentative “Ahhhh..” followed by a sound check-like “one, two, three”, tells his manager and producer David Jost [35]. He carefully tapped his way through, and thankfully has no pain anymore according to Jost.

However, the teen idol has to stick to the strict rules from the doctors. “Bill has to continue taking deep breaths and has to talk very carefully and as less as possible. Bill isn’t allowed to talk on the phone at all,” tells Jost. Still, little Bill is an ambitious little guy: “Bill wants to get back on stage as quickly as possible, and is in my opinion putting too much mental pressure on himself.”

The schedule was already fully planned out for the next few weeks. However, Jost is a thoughtful manager: “To take the pressure away from him to give him more time to recover and for his voice rehabilitation, we postponed the appearance on Conan O’Brien from the 28th of April to the 9th of May. The concert on the 1st of May in Washington D.C was cancelled and the signing session in the Virgin-Mega-Store on Times Square we’ll be moving from the 29th of April to the 6th of May.”

The first short performance of the band will likely be on the 3rd May in front of about 30.000 people at the Bamboozle festival in New York.
